Our History.
Cole’s has remained a family business since it was established in 1883 by J.H. Cole, and has always adapted to the lifestyle of our community. In the 1930s, Cole’s son W.H. Cole operated a farm-products store, which became more focused on basic hardware after World War II. In 1962, W.H. Cole Jr. associated with a buying group, continuing to add consumer items and more stores in surrounding towns. Cole’s now has eleven stores and is the region’s fastest-growing hardware retailer. Our stores provide greater product knowledge and friendly service from a helpful staff.
