One pallet of TruMelt™ Halite contains 56 bags of 50 pounds each for a total weight of approximately 1.4 tons.
TruMelt™ Halite is 99.5% pure oven-dried, screened solar salt and is an economical choice for commercial and residential applications. Because it is such a high purity salt, TruMelt™ Halite will melt effectively down to temperatures of 5°F.
TruMelt™ Halite is screened to optimal crystal size for maximum traction and accurate spreading. With both small dusty fines and large crystals above ¼ inch in diameter removed, TruMelt™ Halite is clump-free, making it easy and efficient to apply. Since it is non-staining, TruMelt™ Halite is safe for use on sidewalks. TruMelt™ Halite is also safer for pets and plants than calcium-based products and when applied at recommended rates, will not burn vegetation or pet’s paws.
TruMelt™ Halite is safer for use on concrete, and above temperatures of 5°F, will provide protection against freeze/cycles. However, for even greater protection of concrete surfaces and higher melting power, use TruMelt™ 10%, TruMelt™ 12%, or TruMelt™ 20%.
